Perrigo Esomeprazole 20mg Capsules are used for the short-term treatment of symptoms associated with reflux such as heartburn and acid indigestion. They provide long lasting relief and are ideal for 24 hour control.

Perrigo Esomeprazole 20mg Capsules help bring relief from heartburn & acid reflux. It works by reducing the amount of acid in your stomach to relieve your symptoms. It is also used to prevent ulcers in people who use nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

What is Perrigo Esomeprazole used for?

• To treat Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• To treat ulcers in the stomach or the upper part of the gut that are infected with bacteria called ‘Helicobacter pylori’ in combination with antibiotics.
• To treat stomach ulcers caused by Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
• To treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, which results in too much acid in the stomach caused by a growth in the pancreas

How to Use 

Warnings

Do not take Perrigo Esomeprazole if:

• You are allergic to esomeprazole
• If you are allergic to other proton pump inhibitor medicines
•  If you have severe liver problems.
• Always consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines.
• If you have reduced body stores or risk factors for reduced vitamin B12 and receive pantoprazole long-term treatment. As with all acid reducing agents, pantoprazole may lead to a reduced absorption of vitamin B12.

Side Effects

Generally very well tolerated but may cause headache, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and nausea.
